X-ray Flat Panel Detector
Structure & Principle of operation
X-rays are converted into light by a Csl scintillator.
This light is then converted to electrical signals at the photodiode within each pixel.
The electrical singals from each diode are read out through a thin-film transistor(TFT) switch connected to the photodiode via a singal wire, and A/D(analog/digital) conversion and low-noise amplification are then performed to produce the image.
